This workshop will cover the subject of haptic rendering from a computational perspective, yet in a broad way. Several researchers from academia and industry will present basic concepts and recent results in topics such as: contact models, rendering of soft tissue, volume haptics, passivity techniques, tactile display, or multirate rendering. The workshop is intended for people with an introductory knowledge about haptics, planning to set up or use applications involving haptic rendering, and looking for more in-depth knowledge about the computational aspects or insight into new solutions.
