My primary research areas are high-performance computing, data analysis and visualization. I
published several journal papers, books, book chapters and articles in
international conferences and workshops (see Google

ResearchGate). Now that you are here, please feel free to have a

organization of four international conferences and in several program
committees of
different workshops and conferences.
Short Bio
I am Alberto Sanchez, a researcher and computer scientist at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Spain. I received MS and PhD degrees, obtaining the Extraordinary PhD Award, in Computer Science from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2004 and 2008, respectively. In 2006 I obtained my MS degree in Marketing at the "Universidad Autonoma de Madrid" (UAM). Since 2007 I've had a faculty position at the Department of Computer Science and Statistics, at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid, Spain), where I am currently an associate professor in the Superior Technical School of Computer Science holding the position of vice dean of student affairs. I am member of the Modeling and Virtual Reality Group (GMRV) where I was the Head of the Master on Computer Graphics, Games and Virtual Reality at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. I have also done long placement abroad in some prestigious international researching centers, such as CERN, NeSC, NRC and the University of Melbourne.
