GENERAL
The Madrid ACM SIGGRAPH Professional Chapter is now officially “In Formation”. We are waiting for feedback from the ACM to finalize the chartering process. Stay tuned !
VIDEO GROUP
Each Friday at 1:30pm the video group is meeting at the “Ampliación de Rectorado”, “Campus de Mostoles” of the “Universidad Rey Juan Carlos”.
This group takes advantage of multimedia technologies to discuss state-of-the-art topics of Computer Graphics. A video is projected while having some sandwitches, snacks and soft drinks. Right after the projection, the attendees have an interesting chat about the video and related research areas. The topics are varied, ranging from specific SIGGRAPH Courses to more general conferences (such as Patterson’s, or Pausch’s talks).
The first video of this month (6th of June) will be the second part of the Massive Models Visualization course presented at SIGGRAPH 2007. The video group is open to all chapter’s members. For more information, please contact David Miraut (david.miraut_at_urjc.es)
SEMINARS JUNE 2008
In collaboration with the “Máster Oficial en Informática Gráfica, Juegos y Realidad Virtual” of the “Universidad Rey Juan Carlos”, we organize a number of seminars and invited talks. It takes place on the “Campus de Móstoles”. The chapter’s members can attend free of charge. Some of the upcoming seminars for June are:- Juan José Jiménez Delgado (Universidad de Jaén)
