The conference will take place in the TRYP Atocha, in Madrid city center. Discounts on hotel rooms are available for participants (see below).

 

Hotel Reservation

Participants to SCA are offered special rates for rooms in the conference hotel (TRYP Atocha, 4 stars hotel):
Double room, single occupancy: 80 Eur + Tax (7%)
Double room, double occupancy: 90 Eur + Tax (7%)
Breakfast is included.

To reserve a room, you need to contact Lourdes Leon Fernandez and specify you are attending the conference organized by the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC). How to get to the hotel

To get from the airport to the hotel, you have two convenient options: taxi (20-25 Eur) or metro (2 Eur). You can find details on this page.

The nearest metro station is Anton Martin on line 1. From the airport, go to Nuevos Ministerios (line 8). Then, you have two options: line 6 to Cuatro Caminos (1 stop), then line 1 until Anton Martin, or you take the train (Cercanias RENFE) until Atocha, the train station (in which case it might be 1 or 2 euros more as you need to buy a different ticket). Sightseeing

The conference hotel is directly located in the center of Madrid. There are a number of interesting sites withing walking distance (generally speaking, the center of Madrid is not that big, so walking is a valid option). Most attractions are listed with a map here and also here.

Social Event

The conference dinner will take place at the Casino de Madrid, a one star Michelin restaurant. The map below indicates how to walk from the conference hotel to the restaurant (about 10 minutes).
