Call For Animations & SubmissionThe festival is open to a wide spectrum of computer generated animations: narrative animation, real-time animation, video games trailers, music videos, visualization (...) organized into 4 categories detailed below. The authors are asked to select the category in which they wish to participate. The jury retains the right to move a video from one category to another if it finds it more appropriate. The video has to be computer generated and the authors must hold the rights on any material they use (models, musics...). See the copyright section. The duration of the video is free. Short Animation Movie, Professional levelThis category is intended for high quality movies from experienced authors. This is the default category where the movie tells a short story. For example, Graphics Art students should submit their work here.Short Animation Movie, Amateur levelThis category is intended for non-experienced users, typically, a semester project of a CS student. If it's your first animation, you should submit here. Otherwise, you should submit to the Professional category.Technical Video or Game DemoThis category is intended for technical videos or game demos that show how a particular technique works. Typically, this does not involve telling a story. It is intended for videos that show research work, for example, a demo of a recently accepted research paper at some simposium or conference. In this category you can present a game demo or a game trailer.
CopyrightYou must own the copyright of all of the music, models ... you use in your video. The Chapters will not be taken responsible if there is any problem. You must check this agreement at the bottom of the submission form.
Submission InstructionsContestants should submit a single .zip or .rar archive of maximum 100MB containing the video and the description file (see below). The video file should be ready for projection (the submitted video IS the final version), with author credits. We strongly encourage QuickTime, MPEG-4, Xvid or DivX Version 6 so that the reviewers can easily watch your video. The description file must contain Category, Video Title, Authors Names, Contact Information, A Short Description of the Video, Any Additional Comment you find suitable (technique used if it's a technical video, associated paper at SCA2011 ...) and a declaration that you own copyright of the submitted video and the materials used in the video.
