Registration
Please, check the program below and register. It helps us organize the event. In addition, registered participants have priority for attending the workshops. Only participants registered before the 23rd of June will get the Animation Festival 2009 DVD.

To register and select the events you want to attend, please, ACCESS THE REGISTRATION SYSTEM (registration is free).

All events will take place at the University Rey Juan Carlos, Campus de Mostoles.
Attendees to the workshops are encouraged to bring their own laptop and/or a memory stick.

Animation Festival 2009 Program

9h - 16h : Workshops (Aula 103, Laboratorio III)

9h - 10h55 : Maya Workshop: Beginners and Advanced levels
Description: in the beginners group, we will see how to create a polygonal model, add a texture, a skeleton and the basics of animation (forward & inverse kinematics, motion paths). In the advanced level, we will cover the topics of fluids and particles, fur/hair, cloth animation. Participants wishing to attend the advanced level are encouraged to come with a 3D model ready. All participants are encouraged to come with a memory stick to be able to save their work. They are also welcome to bring their own laptop with Maya 2009 installed. A trial version can be downloaded from Autodesk website.

11h - 12h55 : Blender Workshop: Beginners and Advanced levels
Description: in the beginners group, we will see how to use Blender's interface, create a poygonal model, .... In the advanced level, we will cover the topics of texture and lighting as well as the use of the game engine to create your own game.

Room: Aula Magna 003, Aulario II
Description: we will project the 3rd DVD of SIGGRAPH 2008 Animation Festival

17h15 - 17h50 Coffee Break (offered by the animation festival to all registered participants)
Room: Cafeteria de Alumnos, Small Room.

18h - 19h : Projection of the movies sent to the competition and Winners Ceremony
Room: Aula Magna 003, Aulario II

1st prize: a Wacom tablet*
2nd prize: an ipod shuffle*
3rd prize: a memory stick*
